ISRO:'Isro to Launch 9 Nano/ Micro Satellites for US in 2015-2016'



Indian Space Research Organization (Isro) will be propelling nine nano/smaller scale satellites for United States amid 2015-16 timeline. This will be the first occasion when that Isro will dispatch US satellites.

"As on date, Antrix Corporation Ltd, the business arm of Isro, has consented to arrangement to dispatch around nine nano/small scale (US) satellites amid 2015-2016 time period," Isro Director Public Relations Deviprasad Karnik told PTI.

These satellites will go as piggyback on PSLV's (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle), authorities said. In this way, 45 satellites having a place with worldwide clients from 19 nations have been propelled effectively by Isro's satellite dispatch vehicles.

In the interim Dr. K Sivan, Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Center, Thiruvananthapuram, said that the first Reusable Launch Vehicle-Technology Demonstration (RLV-TD) would be held amid the end of this current year.




"The primary RLV innovation exhibit will be held toward the end of 2015," Sivan told columnists in Thrissur.

RLV-TD is a progression of innovation showing missions that have been considered as an initial move towards understanding a Two Stage To Orbit (TSTO) completely re-usable vehicle.

Sivan likewise said that the completely indigenous created Geo-Synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) D6 would be dispatched by end of this current month, including the expense of the 2.5-ton vehicle would associate with Rs. 250 crores.

The dispatch of GSAT 6 is relied upon to give a gigantic stimulus in the field of correspondence part in the nation.
